My local knitting guild, Lakeshore Knitters, encouraged its members to bring in their knitted items to show at the local county fair what the local area knitters are up to. I brought my Color On Color Scarf, and won first place! What a wonderful positive affirmation for me and my knitting. Happy day!

Did you use the yarns that were called for? Would you recommend this project to others? How was the yarn to work with -- easy on hands...scratchy, etc...? Did you work the ends in as you went along or wait until the end?

I was able to buy a kit from a yarn store in Alabama that I found out about on the Colour on Color yahoo list.
Of course I would recommend this as a project if you wanted a bit of a challenge! I sorted all the yarns into plastic bags and the bags were all hooked together by a notebook ring (it's a needlework thing)... I had 3 groups, and they were all labeled. That really helped. The yarns are 3-ply, and one ply had to be removed, and that was a bit of a PITA, but I just spent one evening doing that, and it got done! I just pulled one of the plies out, and left the remaining 2 intact. It worked for me.
The yarn is "scratchy" compared to merino, but this is really an exercize in color. I did my I-Cords and tucked the ends in last.
Because this was a scarf and not a sweater, this project is very do-able, but you have to want a challenge. I like to alternate my projects: easy one, hard one, easy one, hard one... so this worked for me.
I normally don't care for the warm colors, like orange, but in this project, I started to like them!
